More Conversations with Grasshopper (You Can't Make This Stuff Up)

Grasshopper: Mommy?

Me: What Grasshopper?

Grasshopper: I need key.

Points to the car key hanging from a clip on my handbag

Me: Why do you need the car key?

Grasshopper points to my car in the driveway while giving me his best "Duh" look.

Grasshopper: I drive.

Make sure you keep track of these sweet anecdotes, kids love hearing them when they're older!

Seems like a perfectly reasonable request to me - i mean if I can be a mother they can be drivers - right?

My son (2 yrs 4 months)and I have long conversations about the cars he wants to drive. He goes throught the whole family and then onto the cars he can see on the road. So far, the promise of "any car you want when you are groen up" seems to satisfy him.

Because clearly that's the only thing stopping him...

I let Gremlin "ride in the front seat" for a total of 10 feet when I had to move the car last week. He was in HEAVEN.

(And even then, I was a little nervous.)
